The Philosophy

I believe a wedding marks the beginning of a legacy.

With a background in Sociology, my approach to photography is rooted in the study of human connection: how we move through the world together, how we honor where we come from, and how we choose to celebrate the moments that define a life.

Based in Seattle and working with couples across the globe, I document weddings for those who see their celebration as more than a single day. It is a milestone in a much larger story. My role is to preserve that story with care by creating imagery that feels both artful and deeply personal.

I often describe my work as that of a visual historian. Not simply capturing what a wedding looked like, but protecting how it felt: the quiet anticipation before a ceremony, the presence of family history woven into the day, the subtle gestures that will mean the most decades from now.

The Aesthetic: The Art of the Mix

My perspective is shaped by a love of intentional design and the quiet sophistication found in contrast.

I’m drawn to the balance between ornate and restrained such as historic architecture paired with modern lines or  heirloom textures set against minimalist spaces. This appreciation for curation guides the way I photograph a wedding.

The result is imagery that feels timeless yet current: refined direction paired with an editorial sensibility, allowing each moment to feel natural while still beautifully composed.

A Global Perspective

While the Pacific Northwest will always be home, my eye has been shaped by the landscapes and design cultures found around the world.

I’m continually inspired by environments where architecture and nature exist in quiet harmony, whether that’s the restrained elegance of European design or the dramatic scale of natural landscapes.

Travel sharpens the way I see light, space, and composition, and that perspective informs every wedding I document.

Why Legacy Matters

My devotion to heirloom photography became clear during a deeply personal season of life: the passing of my grandmother and the birth of my daughter.

In those moments, photographs became something more than memories. They became evidence of a life lived, of relationships that continue long after we’re gone.

It reminded me that we rarely take photographs only for ourselves. We create them for the generations we may never meet.

That understanding guides my work today. Every wedding I document is approached with the intention that these images will one day live in albums, on walls, and in the hands of grandchildren.

When I’m not behind the lens, I’m often searching for a singular vintage piece for our home or spending slow afternoons with my family. I value the beauty of a well-lived story, and it’s an honor to help preserve yours.
